Sally Mannall in an Australian artist living and working in Melbourne. Sally’s work engages with themes of fear, absurdity and hope explored through metaphor, time and duration. She works in video and photography and creates works that are responsive to site and context.

Sally's work has been exhibited widely in Australia including the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Australian National Gallery, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Art Gallery of South Australia. Selected solo exhibitions include: FOREST GARDEN, BREAKFAST TEA, Galerie Bildende Kunst, Vienna (2012); States of Play, Conical, Melbourne (2012); Flight and Perchings, The Engine Room, Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand (2010); Ocular Lab Retrospective Projects #3: Sally Mannall – Survey of Video Works 1994–2008, curated by Raafat Ishak and Sandra Bridie, Melbourne (2008); For Lack of Evidence, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne (1997).

Since 1992, the Australia Council for the Arts has partnered with Acme to provide London work/live residency opportunities for Australian visual artists. These residencies are located at Acme's Fire Station in Poplar, E14. Application and selection is undertaken directly by the Australia Council for the Arts.
